The Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center is a not-for-profit, community-owned organization dedicated to promoting science education along the Gulf Coast. Named 2008 Attraction of the Year by the Alabama Tourism Department, the Exploreum is one of the most visited attractions in the state averaging over 100,000 visitors per year.

The Exploreum has hosted blockbuster traveling exhibits including A Day in Pompeii, which exposed a rare look in to the life and death in the cosmopolitan city, and the widely popular OUR BODY: The Universe Within which brought visitors from across the country and around the world. This exhibit offered a revealing look at the world’s most complex machine, the human body, which was comprised of 12 whole-body specimens and 75 anatomical displays.

The Exploreum is also home to several permanent galleries which provide visitors of all ages with a variety of hands-on science adventures. The facility also features a state-of-the-art, 177 seat, IMAX Dome Theater, hosts a variety of science camps throughout the year, offers science education to school systems, and can host your next party or event.
